Inspiring anecdotes, twice a week, in English and Arabic (English Friday, Arabic Monday). For English speakers learning Arabic and Arabic speakers learning English. Each episode is published in English and in Arabic, with text. If you are learning: 1- Listen to the same text or read it in the other language to check your comprehension; 2- Read the text then listen to it to check your pronunciation; 3- Listen and repeat to improve your pronunciation; 4- Listen and write (dictation) to improve your listening comprehension, spelling and grammar. If you are a teacher, here are some ideas: 1- Listening Comprehension: Students can be asked to: - report on or paraphrase what they heard; - answer questions about what they heard. 2- Reading Comprehension: Students can be asked to: - read and explain what they read; - answer questions about what they read. 3- Conversation practice: Students can be asked to: - ask each other about either the audio or the text; - explain how they would react to such a situation or a similar situation; - talk about similar situations they personally experienced or know of. 4- Writing practice: Students can be asked to: - explain how they would react to such a situation or a similar situation; - talk about similar situations they personally experienced or know of.
