RATING
Very well written in an interesting "found audio" format. Good size to listen all the way through in digestible episodes, and the ending is just open-ended enough to be frustrating if this never gets a second season (I personally hope that it does).
I listened to this and liked it, but now do not remember so much about it. But was left with generally positive vibe, but it does not make my top 10.
When I first listened I couldn't get into it. Than I tried it again and I love it. Patiently waiting for a season 2.
Very intriguing story, though there were too many ads in the middle for me. Maybe it was just the ad format (as in there was no clear distinction between the story and the ad for me) but they made it really hard to focus. That being said I fully support creators getting their money, too. Anyway the ending left me pretty confused but the story itself is very well produced and good!
I think it had potential to be slightly more immersive as an audio drama. At times, I struggled to suspend my belief, though I acknowledge that might be a “me” thing… I love when a podcast makes me question my own concept of reality. That said, the creepiness was well-portrayed by the actors and weird atmospheric sounds effects they did include at key moments. The writing and the acting really painted a great (audio) picture of teenagers and then of older traumatized people. God, the dialogue sounded exactly like a group of friends goofing off! The acting was great. The final episode was an interesting break from pattern, with our mysterious narrator revealing his stake in the years-old story of Bryan, Molly, and Nathan. I enjoyed the new dynamic that came about in episode 6! It’s shame it looks like there won’t be a second season, since season 1 set up an interesting premise still to come. Although if I’m looking for a reality-bending explanation, I could also just assume the Bugman got to everyone before the second season was released.
This podcast was very well done. Sound quality was great
Enjoyable horror-mystery. I always like teen protagonists who are in over their heads. The story concludes in an open-ended manner, my understanding is there won't be a season 2.
An intriguing story with lots of twists and turns. I love a good mystery / horror show and this has great production value and fine voice acting.
We have a Scooby gang of three teenagers investigating their small town version of Bigfoot - the Bugman. Of course all is not what it seems......What makes this an enjoyable listen is that no one is a "type" in the group. They are three individuals with good points and bad. No one has super powers or has an unusual ability to put things together. However, it's not boring. As we learn more about the mystery we learn just as much about the characters. I care what happens to them just as much I care about the mystery. The voice acting ranges from acceptable to very good. The dialogue is very good and the plot line sticks to what really could happen as much as possible. The sound quality is good but the sound effects are limited and not very imaginative. However, the creators were smart in designing a story where sound effects weren't necessary.I would put this podcast, in terms of overall quality between "Lake Clarity" and "Rex Rivetter".Please listen so I don't have to wait alone.
