When Sam's sister, Whitney, disappears a few months later, he passes five lonely years wondering what happened to her. When more people start disappearing suddenly, the three take it upon themselves to find out what's happening to all the disappearing people and what connection the disappearances hold with the mountain outside of town.

Fairly captivating stuff. Although some of the writing feels a little stiff. The audio work is very good.
The good part: good acting and production. Apart from that, the story gets worse over time. It's stalling, using the therapy sesson as an obvious narration device, and when it reaches the end, well: it doesn't make sense. It's too trite, too contrived and lacks realism in its own world logic, while it relies on overexploited shock value. This podcast is based on a story that did well on the internet, but it fails to translate into an eight episode podcast. It's a cheap cash-in, like a movie about slenderman... The last episode ends on a low note - a letter explaining it all, in case the listener didn't get the whole plot, and also to reveal another "shock". At first it felt like the podcast makers didn't trust their audience and had to make the point again, overexplaining, but then it became clear: they don't trust their own story and had little to work with. Just google what the ending is about and save yourself some time.
