As we engage with an increasingly diverse array of media, life stories told from personal perspectives—memoirs—continue to captivate the public’s imagination. In the first season, authors share their stories across three continents contending with mental health, overcoming the challenges of growing up and navigating the opportunities and perils of lives lived as public intellectuals. They relate the joys, and the challenges of being African, Caribbean, and American in the United States today. Season Two features conversations with authors narrating the challenges of migrating from the Dominican Republic, Iran, and the Republic of Korea, as well as the complexities of living diasporic lives in the United States. The podcast was produced by Arthur George Kamya. The sound engineer was Ryan Blaney. The theme music for Season Two is Ne Do–Yefe, composed by Nathaniel Braddock and performed by the Occidental Brothers Dance Band International.
