M. Nathaniel Mead earned his Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of North Carolinas Gillings School of Global Public Health.  He also has undergraduate degrees in Biology and Science Education. Nathaniel has an extensive background as a holistic nutritionist, medical writer, and integrative cancer coach. His professional experience includes work as a personal nutrition coach and research consultant for five integrative medicine clinics.  Nathaniel has been an editor for the peer-reviewed journal Integrative Cancer Therapies. He also has 15 years of experience as a research associate for the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment in Illinois.

In this episode, Nathaniel speaks about Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) and the continuous overtreatment of the disease.  Additionally, he shares his view on a New Strategy for the Prevention and Monitoring of DCIS.  Also, what the difference between low-risk and high-risk DCIS is.   As well as, the main risk factors involved in the progression from DCIS to IBC.
