In this episode we combine two concepts called "1,000 true fans" and "The Tipping Point" into a framework that Travis uses in his marketing strategy. 1,000 True Fans comes from a post Kevin Kelly wrote a few years ago about how an artist (singer, writer, comic, etc..) just needs to find 1,000 people willing to pay $100 a year to earn a decent living. The Tipping Point comes from a book by Malcolm Gladwell that talks about sociological movements and how they build momentum over time.
