My workflow

Ideas

• Good idea to have got a load of ideas. For more on this see episode 21
• Really easy for me at the moment because I am working through a series.

Research

• Template in Confluence which I use each week to ensure consistency
• Has a number of sections to cover my segments
• Fill out the form each week

Record

• Take my form and use this as reminders for recording
• Remember pause, pace and pitch
• Leave plenty of space for editing

Edit and Upload

• Take raw recording and add to editing software
• Add pre-recorded into and outtro
• Add music etc. The site I go to for music is https://www.purple-planet.com
• Produce MP3 and upload to my podcast host
• Not website same as video kills the site

Create Show Notes

• Use the notes in the form to create show notes
• Make sure that any references to other people are highlighted

Publish

• When upload can put in publish time
• Make this consistent each week
• Relax !!

Promote

• Need to promote on social media
• Need to add to your website
• Promotion is key. Be careful to make sure that you are trying to help as much as you can.

Feedback

• Get feedback from your audience
• Consider doing other things like meet the podcaster etc.

Interview podcasts

• Allow the participant to have a pre-release listen
• Have a pre-record call to go through process, answer any questions and go through documentation
• I have starring on the show and podcast release form
• Discuss promotion
