The Heart Chakra is located in the center of your chest, and is probably the most well-known energy center of the seven. Its ancient Sanskrit name is Anahata and it is often referred to as the fourth chakra. This chakra resonates in a deep emerald green color, and signifies unconditional love of self and others with expressions of compassion, acceptance, nurturing, inner peace, as well as giving and receiving when it is fully balanced, clean and clear. On the other hand, when the fourth chakra is out of balance, self-pity, judgment, resentment, and insomnia are common indicators. Inner Child, forgiveness practices and play help strengthen the heart chakra.
