We tell our children unsettling fairy tales to teach them valuable life lessons, but these Cautionary Tales are for the education of the grown ups – and they are all true. Tim Harford (Financial Times, BBC, author of “The Data Detective” and “The Undercover Economist”) brings you stories of awful human error, tragic catastrophes, daring heists and hilarious fiascos. They'll delight you, scare you, but also make you wiser.

I wait anxiously for every episode of Cautionary Tales to drop. The end of a series is a sad time for me. I love how Tim weaves the stories together with real advice for our times. Plus, Tim's particular brand of snarkasm is delicious and I relish the way he tells the story. More, please. And then some more.
I love this show! Shares interesting stories and makes me reconsider a lot!
A good entertaining show that sometimes gets to preachy. Some may lament the Gladwell-istic format of drawing together unrelated things to present thesis, but it's entertaining at least. 4/5 vaguely aristocratic accents
