On a special episode to honor Martin Luther King Day, we speak with his daugther, Dr. Bernice King, CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta. Dr. King reflects on her father’s life and discusses the state of civil rights in our country today. We also talk about the role of sports and athletes in raising awareness around issues of inequality and racism. As RISE prepares to use Super Bowl LIV in Miami to advance the conversation around inclusion and social justice, we look back with Dr. King on the events that RISE and The King Center partnered on last year, during Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, to educate and empower sports leaders to take action in addressing racism and injustice. Finally, Dr. King shares personal memories of her parents, talks about how The King Center is continuing their legacy and delivers her message for the country on Martin Luther King Day 2020.
