What would happen if we legalize ALL drugs? This question will be explored on episode 3 of Changing the System, in which Laura Kemp speaks with drugs journalist, one of a kind future thinker and space expert Thijs Roes. Thijs is known in the Netherlands -among other things- for being one of the first drugs journalists, diving into the system before it was cool.

Years of research led him into a world of drug policy based on scientifically wrong assumptions. "If we don't change the system of drug policy, the war on drugs will be perpetual" he says. "It will cause only more criminalization and on top of that, health risks." Thijs talks about how an LSD Trip helped him to quit smoking, and how he believes there should a a legal path to any drug - not because he wants to downplay the risks, but because it will be a safer and fairer society.
