Nio ET7 to compete with Tesla Model S.
Vehicle maker Nio has announced the ET7 model, which should arrive in 2022. First impressions: It looks slick. On paper, it will have numerous upgrades compared to a Model S. For example, it’ll have a range of 1,000 kilometers, more sensors, and processing power. However, whether that translates into a better driving experience still remains to be seen.
If we had to bet, we’d say we expect to see Chinese auto brands move up the value chain in a similar way to Chinese smartphones. Previously, Chinese brands never crossed the minds of luxury-car buyers. Now things seem like they are changing.
