Chosen Ones is unlike anything I've ever seen before, and I love it. It's hard to really express how incredibly FRESH this show is- the effort that goes into it each week actually blows me away. The characters are oozing with personality, to the point that they feel like they're almost jumping off the metaphorical page with you. That, and the art that goes with it? Hooooooh nelly, it's insane. Listen to this show! You will NOT regret it!
Fell in love with the characters and now I am hooked
Someone has to be the first to review the show, right? And yes, while I'm of course biased, I'm a strong believer in creating content that I'd want to see more of in the world. And I truly believe if I were to stumble upon this show knowing absolutely no one involved, I'd still love the effort that goes into each and every episode. I'm excited and proud everyday of what we've accomplished so far. Watch the YouTube version if you haven't for original art and animations!
Chosen Ones is super fun, thrilling, and filled with mystery! If you want a roleplay heavy D&D podcast with tons of surprises, then this might be the podcast for you. The production value of this podcast is as good as it gets. The music, sound effects, and editing make for an immersive experience, and the Youtube version provides pictures of all the characters. It even has an animated opening!
I've been meaning to listen to Chosen Ones and am glad I finally did! Features an endearing cast of characters that have great chemistry with each other, an interesting homebrew world, and a nice balance of comedy and intrigue. The tight editing and pacing create a top-notch listening experience. Looking forward to hearing the story unfold!
I've been bouncing back and forth between podcast and YouTube format to get a good feel for this show and it has been amazing. The podcast is great for when I'm out and about getting my chores done and when I have some time to relax like when I'm cooking the graphic novel is so much fun because I love seeing what the characters look like and the setting they are in. The music and ambiance is well done and at great levels where it doesn't feel distracting but it isn't lost in the background. Really love the intro and outro and the players and GM do a wonderful job giving you a very fleshed out world with an engaging story but still keeping it light so it doesn't get too heavy on you. If you're looking for a high fantasy story that you can relax and listen to throughout the day then I highly recommend this one!
Chosen OnesThank you so much for this lovely review!
Chosen Ones is a carefully woven story set in a rich home-brew world. The lore is fascinating, but doesn't leave you confused or in need of more information. The characters have breathtaking depth, including the NPCs, making this seem like a real narrative rather than simply an actual-play. All of this is elevated further by the wonderful character art, as well as the stunning music (and accompanying animations that are fun bonus content). Highly recommend!
Really just an amazing DnD experience. Finds me giggling to myself and crying emotion filled tears at the best of times, and there are no worst of times. There is so many various ways the show blows me away and I still can't decide who my favorite character is. Snaps to Cassie and the cast for making so many life-soaked characters, snaps to the sound design and artwork artists. There's so much content and pure, whole-some interaction baked into this universe, I really just want to thank you all for existing in the first place, and further for being such a lovely and supporting community.
Chosen OnesI missed this one! Thank you so much!
Chosen Ones has music, effects, and *stunning* art, but if you've heard of the show at all you probably knew all that. What really, truly sells the series is the absolute lovability of all the characters. I wasn't even two episodes in when I stopped it and realized I already cared about each of the PCs and where the story would take them. The world is rich, and the overarching plot seeding starts right away. The pacing hits a sweet spot of lingering in fun and funny moments while pulling everyone along their own paths of growth. Give it a try, you won't regret it!
