Longevity. On Episode 46 of Coaches Tuck Radio, Don is joined by 4x National Champion, 2x Pan Am medalist, World Team member, and coach, Travis Cooper. Travis has been training and competing in the sport of weightlifting since a freshman in high school, and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and perspective that only few have.
Having primarily worked with 4 coaches throughout his career, including a 2-year stint of coaching himself, Travis walks us through his biggest take-aways and learning experiences along the way that have help mold him into the athlete and coach he is today. When asked about his longevity in the sport, Travis talks about the importance of consistency and how at times doing the right things in training aren’t necessarily the most popular or sexy in the world of social media.
