Bridging the gap. On Episode 51 of Coaches Tuck Radio, Don is joined by Ben Skutnik, a sports physiologist and adjunct professor at Indiana University, as well as a Power Athlete Block One Coach in the private sector.
Ben provides his perspective on the difference between academia and the practical side of coaching, and how being on both sides of the aisle have helped him as a scientist and coach. Don and Ben also discuss coaching development, mentorship and apprenticeship in the coaching world, and how those things can effect long-term athlete development. Lastly, Ben gives his thoughts on the bad and good that technology used to track recovery and performance can provide to athletes.
