Laki has dealt with a lot in his life: anger management, mental health, substance abuse. This is why I am so appreciative of his openness and generosity to discuss his life story. I hope you enjoy as much as I did my recording with Laki. As I mentioned while discussing with Noa, there are times I sit with guests and wonder if they've been debriefed about my own life story to then tell me while we record the discussion. Not necessarily the facts and events that has plastered Noa's life (he has quite an amazing and difficult one) but in some of the feelings and emotions that he shared he felt while going through those difficult times. Thank you Noa for your wisdom and knowledge of the program. Meeting with Bobbie was a refreshing experience in a way that I don't often have the opportunity to discuss what I would describe as a dry addiction: gambling doesn't, at his first look, alter your brain as does alcohol or drugs. Despite it, Bobbie has share with me how she felt under a gambling spell. Recovery has changed through the years, and Bobbie’s experience with Gamblers Anonymous, inpatient treatment, self development , and working with the Center for Problem have helped her develop her own spin on living a bet free healthy courageous life. She is available online here: https://www.facebook.com/bobbie.malatesta/ (https://www.facebook.com/bobbie.malatesta/) https://www.instagram.com/bobbietheawesome_321nokiddin/ (https://www.instagram.com/bobbietheawesome_321nokiddin/) Web: http://321nokiddin.com (321nokiddin.com) Email: bobbie@321nokiddin.com This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy Support this podcast

My conversation with Cassie has taught me a lot about self-deprecation and self-perception of ourselves. This is such an eye opener to realize how much we can see ourselves in such a bad way while, as I told Cassie, if we would ask the people that are around us at the same time this self-deprecation happens, they would most probably talk of you positively and would never have known that we have this self-image.  This was a great conversation of her upbringing and substance consumption to embracing her passion and living her dream life.  You can find Cassie on social medias at the links below:  Instagram: cassangerosa.art Facebook: Pet Portraits by Cassie This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy Support this podcast

Dustin has opened up to all of his life story and early trauma that has initiated his rabbit hole of substance abuse. He then found himself, picked himself up and his now realizing stuff that he would have never EVER imagined. He is also quite involved in his community to help his next of kin in getting better. He is a great human being that I can't wait for you to hear.  In his own words: "I think the biggest is that no matter what the world throws at us, there is hope. Through everything we go through in our journey of battling our disease, a way out has been blazed by the people before us. I am grateful for that and the life I live today. I have a life and sense of freedom today and face my fears no matter what the world throws at us, and 2020 has thrown a lot at all of us, I think the recovery community has a unique opportunity to give back to the world and help generations heal wounds that we are used to working with. It is important for me to give back to the community that gave so freely to me and be a productive member of society and I am blessed to do that each and every day." The great thing that Alyssa and I discussed was around the value of being an addicted person and engaging in a counselor certification. There was something particularly great about how she thinks a lot on her own way to give back to society, how to share her recovery and sobriety wisdom to those that still suffer and, especially, how to carefully manage your own rooted values while doing it.  It was a pleasure getting to know Alyssa. Thanks! You can reach out to her here: rawrecoverytalk@gmail.com or on IG https://www.instagram.com/rawrecoverytalk/ (@rawrecoverytalk). At the age of twenty-three, Michael Brody-Waite was a full-blown drug addict. Every day he drank a fifth of vodka and a twelve pack of beer, he smoked two packs of cigarettes and more weed than any human should, and he did whatever other drugs he could get his hands on. He had been kicked out of college, fired from his job, and evicted from his apartment. He had no money and no home, was throwing up blood, and believed he would be dead before his thirtieth birthday. Then, on September 1, 2002, after running out of options and fearing death, he checked into rehab, entered recovery, and has been transforming himself every day since. It was such a blast talking with him, you can find everything he works on here:  Website: http://www.michaelbrodywaite.com/ (www.michaelbrodywaite.com) Mask-Free Program: http://www.maskfreeprogram.com/ (www.maskfreeprogram.com) Free Mask Assessment: http://www.whatsmymask.com/ (www.whatsmymask.com) Book: http://www.greatleaderbook.com/ (www.greatleaderbook.com) Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/michaelbrodywaite (www.facebook.com/michaelbrodywaite) Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/michaelbrodywaite (www.instagram.com/michaelbrodywaite) Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/mikebrodywaite (www.twitter.com/mikebrodywaite) Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/michaelbrodywaitechannel (www.youtube.com/michaelbrodywaitechannel) This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy Support this podcast
My return of vacations has caused me to have challenges finding a guest this week.
