Jennifer Briney does a great job of breaking down legislation. There are so many crazy items in our bills that don't serve the people, I count her work as a win for democracy.
Congressional Dish is one of top 5 podcasts and number 1 in the politics category. Jen has brought light to the part of our government where we actually have the power to change or fix. I have been given inspiration to learn and inform others of things that I have learned from her podcast.
My favorite podcast that I learn so much from. Congressional Dish is a podcast that comes out ~2x/month and discusses what's going on in US CONGRESS...not the executive nor judicial branches of government. Note that what Jen (the host) covers is not always whatever is being hyped in the news. She peruses legislation and CSPAN among other sources you probably don't feel like researching yourself. Another excellent reason for listening is that this podcast is 100% listener supported, as in NO ADS, NO SPONSORED CONTENT so no one is forcing her to stick to an agenda, it's only interesting content she finds and puts together herself. If you like the show, help keep her in business by chipping in some $ and spreading the word.
If you are an American YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS SHOW. It's educational (and you will ask yourself WHY IS THIS NOT ON THE NEWS?) and you will be like me and be soooo ready to get back into a voting booth. Entertaining (love the golf swing sound effect), passionate, and for the most part, impartial (she reads the bills in Congress and just reports)
Amazing breakdowns of things I thought could not be as entertaining as Jen makes them. In-depth, well researched, and delivered with personality. Not only do you get her take on things but also she shares her work with you so that you can dig deeper and "check her work". Not because you doubt her, but because some of the stuff being pulled seems insane, and yet it's all there for you to see for yourself.
This is my favorite podcast. Knowing exactly what Congress is doing explains so much! I've learned a ton from this show. I never miss it.
One of the ways you control people is by making knowledge hard to access or for the elite. Burn books, make it illegal to read, obfuscate meaning with jargon.Jennifer does an amazing job of breaking down complex, jargon-filled, bills in a way that we understand not only what the bill will do, but why it came to be and the history behind it. A must listen to podcast
Love the deep dives into bills being developed. Also interesting to hear cut ups of the most relevant congressional hearings. She claims to have no bias, but it is obvious that she slants towards a worker bias versus capital bias.
