I love the smell of a legitimate project, which is the reason why I found this podcast topic to be of interest. Lightnet, a project based on the Stellar blockchain, will apparently be moving $50 Billion of International Payments by 2022 by targeting the Southeast Asian region. But I never heard of it, until this morning. That is not normal as usually projects like this are splashed everywhere, or at least that is the way that we do it in the marketing world.
What is even more interesting is that Lightnets’ CEO is Mike Kennedy previously founded Zelle, a digital payments network which processes over $75bn in transactions on an annual basis.
They are actually launching this platform now, as in Q1 of 2020, which raises the question, what marketing have they done to this region, what is the plan to gain traction for the use of this platform, and will it be as successful as Zelle. Why Stellar? Join me and Forbes.com writer Ben Jessel and learn about a project which may be my new case study in marketing a financial platform.
