I loved Clay's JW story because it rang very true to my own. Its always therapeutic and validating to hear from people that have gone through the same trauma I did. And I was happy to hear Clay bring awareness to C-PTSD because its a condition that doesn't get enough attention. But, the episode lost me whenever the conversation made an apologetic turn. It REALLY lost me when they started implying that atheist/agnostic exJWs were inherently worse off because they don't have Jesus. To me that attitude is not only self-righteous, but also naive...and potentially damaging to a person whom would genuinely better off without Christianity. Overall I enjoyed the episode but will not be returning to the series.
