Quote: This is my review. Too scripted. Maybe if they stopped trying to act like they were having an organic conversation, it would be better. End quote. Also, thinking of starting a drinking game every time one of them says "Quote." I'd be wasted 15 minutes in on some episodes ?
Some of it was really interesting. But having to listen each new episode began to feel more forced than because I was enjoying it.
Great content, can't stand the host's over the top american accents
Another slam dunk from Parcast! Thanks for your hard work you two!
Over-produced, but interesting. Just not very fun to listen to.
Unfortunately, I can't get into this one. It sounds heavily scripted and I think they sound calm the voices sound almost robotic after a bit. They keep saying "quote" over and over because there no distinctive change in tone to show they are actually quoting someone.
Really interesting stories narrated by Microsoft Sam.
A pretty comprehensive trip through the many, many cults of the last 100-odd years. Now available only on Spotify.
Full of SJW and anti-Catholic nonsense. Easy to listen to however.
Good production value. Great for scratching a certain podcast listening itch. Luckily the network of hosts have a bunch of different podcasts in case this particular one and its subject start to tire you.
Sometimes the show gets repetitive and you can tell they are just working to extend over 2 episodes. Otherwise, very interesting even is they are licensed psychologists.
Awfully narrated, surface readings of wikipedia pages and conjecture. HARD PASS if you want to actually learn authoritatively about a subject.
I first stumbled upon this podcast in 2020 during quarantine. I loved the content they produced and the energy between the two hosts. I also enjoyed the way they delved into multiple aspects of the cult leaders and members, not just focusing on the cult as a whole. It has been quite informative. I have listened through the entire catalogue at least 10 times over the last three years, and I listen to Cults or Medical Murders (also by Parcast) every night as I fall asleep. I was quite saddened when they announced their decision to conclude the show.
The amount of content is commendable but the Parcast episodic format –ubiquitous in their catalogue– can become repetitive fast.
Awesome information, great information, really intriguing events in each episode
Very informative without overly emotional
I love this podcast and the hosts. Researched and informative and delivered articulately in an easily digestible format. Have been listening daily to their backlog for over a month now and I don't see myself stopping until I have listened to them all.
