Coach Hopkins and the Washington basketball team lands another huge recruit as Jaden McDaniels decides to stay close to home, and commits to UW. Obviously, this is huge for the school, and proves that Washington is developing into a high-level basketball team that can snag elite recruits. McDaniels, like Isaiah Stewart, is likely to be a one-and-done, and the fact is that players that play for only a year often don't bring their schools a championship. Of course Hop isn't going to turn these guys down, but it'l be interesting to see how the program develops around these types of players. The NFL has announced the locations of the next few drafts, but left a gaping hole in 2022. Could they be waiting to see how the Seattle arena turns out? Maybe, maybe not, but it would be very cool to get a big event like the draft back in this town. We haven't seen anything like it here in over a decade.
