Destination: Earth - The Audio Drama

 4 people rated this podcast
Destination: Earth is a riveting, fully scripted audio drama in 10 parts. The war between humans and Gray has been going on for longer than anyone can remember. Spin Braddock, a down-on-his-luck wheeler-dealer and Garvey, his pilot and best friend, get by doing odd jobs for shady clients. They cross paths with Jenna Anderton, a 15-year-old girl, who makes them an offer they can’t refuse. Her father, a history professor at the local museum, wants to enlist them to help fulfil his lifelong dream: to find long-lost planet Earth from which humans once set out to conquer the stars. Reluctantly, Spin and Garvey accept. After all, everyone knows that Earth is just a myth…. --Fully scripted 10-part story -- Excellent production values – a movie for your ears. -- A stunning score by award-winning LA-based film composer Silke Matzpohl -- New episodes weekly -- Made in Australia -- Cast&Crew Spin Braddock: Jerry Retford, Garvey: Jett Tattersall, Jenna: Jemimah Knight, Professor Anderton: Peter McAllum, Narrator: Francis Edwards, Music: Silke Matzpohl, Recording Engineer: John Hresc, Written & Directed by: Patrick McGinley, Recorded at: Sydney Sound Brewery, Supporting Cast: Jackson Ryan, Laura Cross, Greg Eccleston, David Anderson, Rachael McGinley, Billy

Fun and exciting with heartwarming echoes of Douglas Adams.
Really enjoying this podcast. The set up was fabulously played out and I'm loving all the concepts. Doesn't hurt that the acting and writing are top notch too! If you love all things sci-fi then get listening!
I just listened to the first 2 episodes of Destination Earth and I´m thrilled! It´s science fiction, but it has a sort of "old school" feeling to it, that I really love. As a science fiction buff I find a certain pleasure in listening to a show that has a familiar feeling: I just KNOW I´m in for a wonderful story! The overall production quality and use of music is great, and the sound design is perfectly "spacey". The dialogue is both clever and witty, and I can´t wait to get to know the characters more.
