Today’s guest has had paranormal experiences since childhood, and eventually began her own paranormal research group with her family called the Pridemore Paranormal Group.  In addition to the numerous paranormal investigations she conducts across the U.S., she volunteers regularly for the Atchison, Kansas Chamber of Commerce conducting tours of the infamous Sallie House.

The Sallie House, if you haven’t heard of it yet, is rumored to host no less than 6 different spirits that influence visitors with visual manifestations, audio anomalies, feelings of dizziness and nausea, objects being cast across rooms, and in some cases, physical harm in the form of scratching and bruising, all of which our guest today, Denise Pridemore, has experienced.  In 2015, the Sallie House was featured on an episode of Ghost Adventures.

Important items mentioned in this episode Low-level demon witnessed the nights of 1/13/2017 through 1/16/2017 (see photo below and excerpt from Denise's journal)

"Okay here is the weird thing that I witnessed for three nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday night, I was in bed, awake hadn't gone to sleep yet, I am laying down on my left side and I look up at the ceiling and I see a shadow, I assume it's the ceiling fan, but it gets clearer and clearer, brighter and brighter. I see that is red, blood red, with dark spots. I see its face and I can't turn away, I can't move though I am trying, can't speak or even think. The face is oval shaped, no hair, large pointed, Spock type ears. The eyes are sunken, but on fire, large eyes compared to ours, very ominous feeling to me, the nose is flat with two small nostrils but looks more like a skull where the nose was concerned, it's mouth was large, two rows of very sharp teeth, seemed largely disproportionate to the actual face, it looks like he could make his mouth much larger or smaller as he moves around. His body was bony. He has four very long arms, four fingers on each hand with 2 inch or longer sharp nails (I am shaking as I write all this). His back was also bony; I could see his bones sticking up. He has wings with four joints, (is how it looks) no feathers just bones and sinew, so disgusting. (I can't stop shaking). His legs are long with feet that have three toes and a long talon in the back. This came back on Saturday and Sunday. I can't sleep waiting for it to show back up. It is angry, I could feel and see the heat coming off of it, Ron even threw off the covers because he was hot, but he never saw this thing I was seeing, feeling and fearing."

Article from Immersion Magazine "Denise Pridemore has been the tour guide at the infamous Sallie House since September 2012. It started out as a simple self-guided day tour and Haunted Trolley Tour on a Saturday in September 2011. During that first self-guided tour, she became obsessed with the history, the house and the spirits that reside at the house on 2nd Street.   "The first thing I noticed was the address, it happened to be the same address of the Villisca Ax Murder House in the small town of Villisca, IA. For those that don't know about these still unsolved ax murders, 8 people (6 members of the Moore family and 2 overnight child guests) were killed during the wee dark hours of June 10, 1912. Oren Jackson, the sheriff at the time of the murders is my husband's great uncle, so every time we go we have an experience, so I was hoping that the just a little of that would be true at the Sallie House."   "During the first couple visits I experienced nausea, dizziness, light anomalies, and voices. I was hooked and had to go back. The easiest was to find out how to volunteer. That worked great because the company that I work for matches my time with dollars. So for every 40 hours I volunteer the organization (501(c)3) gets cash. Great deal right, they are getting paid to let me volunteer.  There are at least 6 spirits that are always in the house, 2 that are cats, and others come and go. According to Peter James, world renowned psychic-medium there are 4 portals in the Sallie House, so the experiences are always different. The portals are in the corner of the dining room, the basement hole, the upstairs south bedroom in the back and the nursery."   "That first day volunteering was so strange, I was able to tell people the history of the all things related to the house, but then the next morning I had bruises on my upper arm on the inside that looked like fingers prints. This happened for every time we went to the house until it got worse. Since I was getting strange injuries that I could not explain and others actually would see the bruises forming on me, I was asked to be on Ghost Adventures. After Ghost Adventures, it got much worse I started getting scratched, pushed on the steps, hair pulled, clothes and jewelry got knotted up in front of the guests. I was actually getting concerned. That was when two of the spirits in the house told said, "She brought them here!", "She did it!" They were angry and at me. This started the weekend following Ghost Adventures visit. It proceeded to get worse with each visit, but I had committed to volunteering."   "One incident, in October 2014, I had done tours all day and my husband didn't come up with me. I had a Haunted Hop (two mini investigations, Haunted Trolley and dinner in a haunted restaurant) after tours. I was sweeping up from the tours and when a folding chair flew across the basement from the south side to the edge of the black paint on the floor, where the pentagram was at one time, it was a good 8 feet. The chair was about 4 feet in the air and like it hit a wall fell just before hitting me, thank goodness. There was a protective spirit with me at that time. When the guests for the Hop arrived I had to compose myself quickly, but my heart was pounding in my chest and I was as white as the ghosts I am seeking to find."   "Another incident, on September 17, 2016, I was rushed by an upset spirit, her name is Agnes Finney True, she lived in the house the longest from about 1871 to 1939, dying in the house. It's her house. On that day when we got there someone had taken the attic slat, messed up a part of the ceiling and made a mess. The house was vandalized in my eyes and apparently Agnes's too. We were leaving people there for an overnight investigation and Agnes came down the stairs and went right through me, I shuddered so much that three others noticed. Agnes asked me to come upstairs to talk. I promised her that the guests would treat her home respectfully, it took a while but she calmed down."   "I can go on for hours about all strange and unexplained experiences that I have had in the Sallie House, but I won't take any more of your time. You need to see for yourself and remember spirits don't act on command, the house is not active 100% of the time."   Denise Pridemore is a paranormal investigator with Pridemore Paranormal and has a radio show The Paranormal Pride on ParanormalKing.com Mondays at 7 pm Central."
