They had me at "BREAD" There are three actual play podcasts that I listen to and wait in anticipation for them to drop. I've tried a lot more, but only three are engaging enough for me with well thought out stories and great characters. This is ONE OF THEM. Each arc has its own flavour because the DM changes, leading to different styles coming through. But throughout this the characters continue to develop and grow. Recurrent catch phrases and themes hold it together. And then there are the one shots. Little breaks from the main story. these one shots are innovative and inventive, possibly mad cap, but always an enjoyable ride. The best praise I can give is that listening to this wonderful podcast fuels ideas for my own game. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
I've had Dice Populi on my list to listen to for a good long while. Well, I finally started it a couple weeks ago. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to give it a go. It is a really well done Actual Play podcast. Easily is the top 5 production wise. The sound effects, background music, and quality of the players recordings is amazing. The show rotates DMs every few episodes. Which is a really unique idea. And it is implemented extremely well. So far, I haven't felt disconnected with the overall story of the podcast. I can't wait to binge the rest of this and look forward to it being in my must listen queue when next episodes release.
I've recently started listening to this podcast and REALLY enjoy it. The cast is fun and the characters are enjoyable. The audio quality is excellent and the sound effects are fun and really add to the atmosphere. The music is a fantastic choice, it gets me really hyped up and I am so happy I started listening! This is in my top 5 podcasts for sure!
This podcast is beyond a joy to listen to, the soundscapes and the storytelling just draws you in. Close you eyes and feel like you are steeped in everything that is happening. I am only the first few episodes in but I can honestly say that if you are looking to get lost in a well crafted world with wonderful ambience check them out!
I'm about 10 episodes in after a 1 week binge and loving it! Player dynamics are amazing, the storyline is fantastic and the podcast quality is solid! Definitely would recommend!

Dice Populi - A Tabletop Roleplaying Anthology SeriesThank you for the review! Y'all are the best!
This is some great stuff. Not your normal actual play, but in our opinion that is what makes it so good. There are talks of injury rules, some good production value in a few sound effects and music, and the overall dynamic of the table is quite enjoyable! We just started the podcast, but CANNOT wait to hear more! - WMS

#justiceforfluffy Great sound, music, and goofs. Really scratches my TAZ Balance itch
Dice Populi - A Tabletop Roleplaying Anthology SeriesThank you for this! That's so nice of you to say! I'm especially Happy the goofs seem to mostly land! I hope you all are doing well!
Action, adventure, tragedy, heart break, comedy, this podcast has everything you could ever want AND more. If you're into D&D, table top role/roll play, or just wanna listen to some dudes argue about how much gas you'd need to release in a fart to slow yourself down while falling hundreds of feet, this is the podcast for you
A great, engaging actual-play with an excellent home-brew setting and the added bonus twist of rotating DMs. This is a great podcast for anyone who wants examples of difficult characters done well, too: CE characters and child-aged characters are so often done poorly, it's often said that they shouldn't be played at all. These guys demonstrate how to be exceptions to that general rule. I'm also really enjoying the original music (kudos to Colin). Excited for the OST, and also find it very cool that they have a free PDF of their first adventure available, so anyone can give the setting a go.
Dice Populi - A Tabletop Roleplaying Anthology SeriesThank you so much for the kind words! This is high praise coming from a member of an absolute joy of a podcast (The Dimension Door podcast)! We really appreciate you and hope you are doing well!
Great rapport between players, solid sound quality, an exciting storyline, a great concept, and well paced production. You really feel like you're at the table with this crew. Really excited to keep following this podcast after listening to the first couple of episodes! I will say the end of the first episode is off-putting for me as its crass without feeling like it has a purpose to my listening experience.
Dice Populi - A Tabletop Roleplaying Anthology SeriesThanks for the review and for the honest feedback! Yeah not our greatest moment at the end, but we are really happy that you seemed to like everything else! I hope you are doing well!
An Intriguing Land With a Fun Cast Dice Populi does a fun and interesting take on a campaign with switching the DM after each adventuring arc. The world that has been created is an interesting and lawless land that gives it a bit of a post apocalyptic/lord of the flies feel as people/prisoners have been dropped into this magically destroyed lands and been forced to fend for themselves. I just finished up the first episode and can already see the cast is forming into quite the party with a few characters butting heads but goofs are sure to follow these moments! I like that they agreed to keep the rolls away from most disputes as it helps build up more of a conversation between both characters and players, this is something I had to learn the hard way! I'm interested in seeing where this story goes and what happens to this rag tag party!
I enjoy hearing myself talk and I think you will too!
Dice Populi - A Tabletop Roleplaying Anthology SeriesAh yes, a brilliant review
Great story, fun characters, and some completely unexpected twists and turns. 10/10 would recommend.
It's our podcast and we think it's pretty great!
A truly unique ttrpg experience. A rotating DM model with a wonderful cast of characters of mixed alignments who make it seem natural working together. They faithfully follow the rolls of the dice even if it means a curve-ball for the entire game. But recovering from such events seems completely natural and they do a wonderful job of making the story easy to follow, and keeping the listener always guessing what will happen next. The original game setting is fascinating, and the mystery behind each of the characters backstory's make me hanging on every detail so I can fill out my murder-board a little bit further, putting together all the pieces.
