This week on Discover the Hustle Podcast we interview Cory Gregory. Cory is from a generation of coal miners, the former Co-founder of MusclePharm, the Co-host of Activ8Radio Podcast, and the Author of Mindset Manual. He’s also a powerlifter, 11 time cover model, he squats everyday and is infamous for the snapchat line ‘Wake Your Ass Up.’ We talked about the importance of surrounding yourself with good people, building a legacy, and waking up every morning with your mission in mind.
From a very young age Cory realized that school wasn’t his thing. He was receiving poor grades and fell asleep during his SAT. He knew he was meant to do something great within the fitness industry. Because he so fed up with being poor, he knew he had to do something big in order to escape the current situation he was living in. Once he had this mindset shift he started waking up at 3:30-4am and just started hustling. Everyday became a reason to live his life to the absolute fullest. What's cool now is the people he lifts with everyday don’t care what he’s done with his career or life, because they’re just in there every single day trying to beat him. Cory has always loved this type of competition and continues to work everyday to beat everyone else. There’s never any question about his character, what he’s done, and what he'll continue to do. When he wakes up in the morning he knows what he wants and he goes after it relentlessly. The passion he has for his goals keeps him focused, allowing him to rarely fatigue in this pursuit. We really hope that you enjoy this episode. Cory is a phenomenal person and we truly learned tons from him in just an hour long conversation.
