She's well known for her work with Caribbean Reef Sharks in The Bahamas and initiated the movement that led to the full protection of sharks in The Bahamas. Along with making great strides in cave exploration. She's a member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, The Explorers Club, the Ocean Arts Society and a recipient of the SSI Platinum Pro 5000.
