Fascinating ride and so great to learn more about Dolly from Dolly as well as others.

I'd never thought much at all about Dolly Parton before. Jad Abumrad brings his Radiolab style to this show, and he hosts it because he has apparently always been fascinated by Dolly and has a unique connection to her through his father (he says on an episode of Switched On Pop that the show was only possible because of this access, dashing many aspiring podcasters' dreams no doubt). I wasn't going to listen, but I got sucked in quickly. The music is great and well-placed, and Dolly is delightful, kind, and authentic.

Wait, why am I listening to a podcast about Dolly Parton? She's not somebody I've thought about much before. But oh my goodness I can't stop listening this is so good!!

Never thought I would care about Dolly Parton, and I was seriously skeptical after hearing all the great things about this podcast. As a non-Dolly Parton listener, I was pleasantly surprised that this was really very interesting. Went into her background, how she got to where she is, and all the roadblocks along the way. Touched upon politics and social issues. Really a good listen.

Such an interesting podcast! I kinda can't believe I liked it... But whyyyy? It was entertaining and funny and a cool look at someone's life!

I haven't enjoyed a podcast this much in I don't know how long. I literally can't take it out of my ears. Fascinating. Moving. Funny. Inspiring. I adore Dolly. My hat off to the creators. So, so well done.
