On this week’s episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast I sit down with Coach Tom Fleck. Coach Fleck is a Boston-based triathlete, triathlete coach, and Founder of Here & Now Fitness. We talk briefly about Tom’s races since we last spoke (Episode 150) and then I ask every question I have about racing as I set out to take on Ironman Timberman 70.3 on August 22nd. We talk about tactics for the swim, how to transition from the swim to the bike, how to go through aid stations while biking, why you want to have steady output on the bike, how much and when to consume nutrition, how to slowly build on the run, why managing my heart rate is the most important aspect of racing, and Coach Tom’s predictions on my time for Ironman Timberman 70.3.
