The chief of a nearby village is looking for a wife, and two sisters decide they would like to meet the chief. The two women have very different experiences along their journey!

The story "Chief Five Heads" is based on "The Story of Five Heads," from Kaffir Folk-lore by George McCall Theal, 1889. It is a Khosa tale, and has been adapted by Elaine L. Lindy for the website Stories to Grow By.
