We all want to be be successful.
But I think we sometimes forget to define what success actually means to us.
We just get out of school and 'fall forward' into an area we think would be pretty cool to work in.
Get a family, get a house, get a car, go on holiday and get some form of income to pay for all this stuff.
Then if you can get something to pay you more income you can have more stuff and bigger, better versions of it.
Then, before we know it, we realise that we've pretty much been blindly following someone else's path.
And we're just left wondering... "Why the piss is this not making me happy?"
But if you define what success means to YOU, it actually does become a lot simpler.
Actually spend some time thinking what it is you WANT out of life and what makes you happy.
Then reverse engineer it so you know exactly how much money you need to earn from whatever your 'thing' is in order to fund the life you want.
All is revealed in the episode.
I talk about...
- How the 'pre-defined path' is a miserable one for most people.
- Why visualising what success looks like for you makes things easier.
- Engineering the life that will actually make you happy.
- Why 'just wanting more and bigger' can be a recipe for disaster.
- How your success can be a simple mathematical equation.
