Fear is the thing that your brain uses to keep you safe.
Your brain is wired to keep you safe and in a familiar state. When you are in a difficult situation and you feel threatened, your brain will do everything it can to keep you safe and away from that threat. Fear floods your brain with fight or flight neurochemicals and it determines the way you respond to a situation. The cool thing is… Your brain can be wired to recognize andrespondin a way you actuallychoose. [3:20]
Your brain sees anything bigger than what you are currently doing, as a threat.
Your brain is doing it’s best to keep you safe and familiar. And when you try to do somethingdifferent… Your brain will see it as a threat. It doesn’t matter how safe or risky or big or small the different thing you want to do is. Your brain doesn’t view things as good or bad. It just sees it as different, and different is a threat.
