And the topic of money often gives people a strong emotional reaction.  

The fact is, your stories about money are governing 90% of your daily actions and decisions. 

But do we really know where our feelings about money came from? 

So much of it is built in the subconscious from what you learned in your childhood and young adulthood.. 

Once you change those money stories it changes your life forever. When you do that, you put yourself in a position to dream, to take what you can control and lean into your dream.

• “Money is communicated two ways in a household, it’s communicated verbally, but it’s also communicated emotionally.” 

 

Your childhood growing up was your “money classroom”: it’s where you learned the good and the bad about money. Your understanding of money is developed in a unique way because of who your parents are and what you were taught, and of course who you are as a person. When you take all this into account, you get four “money classrooms”. In each classroom, different feelings and understanding of money are developed. Listen in to hear Rachel break this down! [4:27]

• “I had to do some serious unpacking of my money story before my mind would let me move on.” 

So much of what we know and believe about money is rooted in our subconscious. We find ourselves thinking certain thoughts around money and we aren’t even sure why. It takes time and effort to access your money story and rewire that to see money in a more healthy mindset. [11:50]

 

• “Our savings is attached to our dreaming.”

 

When you aren’t dreaming, when you don’t have goals, you probably aren’t saving. There isn’t any motivation to save! You are encouraged to dream and to look toward the future. Whatever the dreams you have for your life, put tangible goals on them and use money to make them possible. [18:35]
