Our thankful thought for today is this: Life gives us challenges at certain points in our lives, not as a game for us to play, but as a way to test our faith, our hope, our will, and our willingness to make the right decisions and to change. We can complain that we are not ready or act as if the challenge isn't there. We can play hide and seek or run away from the voice of the challenge that calls us to experience it. Challenges don't wait for us to become ready; they are the very things that make us ready. We should be thankful for challenges that force us to try harder, to gain wisdom, and to pursue and succeed in our God-given destiny.

Our quote of thanks is from Andy Andrews. He said, "Remember, whatever you focus upon, increases. . . . When you focus on the things you need, you'll find those needs increasing. If you concentrate your thoughts on what you don't have, you will soon be concentrating on other things that you had forgotten you don't have--and feel worse! If you set your mind on loss, you are more likely to lose. But a grateful perspective brings happiness and abundance into a person's life."

Our Bible verse of thanks is Psalms 118:28. It reads, "Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee."
