At 16, Alex was one of the founding members of the metal band Testament. In the late 1990’s, Alex - consistently recognized as one of the greatest metal guitarists of all time - walked away from it all. He moved cross country from his native San Francisco to New York City… and went to college to get a degree in Jazz...

He faced loads of criticism from friends and family for doing this… but today, he’s happier than ever.
