Half a century after he first ventured to the Final Frontier, William Shatner is coming to Red Bank. The iconic, Emmy-winning actor, best known for his work as Captain James T. Kirk on “Star Trek,” will bring his one-man show “Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It” to the historic Count Basie Theatre on Monmouth Street on Friday, Feb. 5. During a wide-ranging conversation, Shatner told the “Fan Theory” hosts about everything from his two upcoming books, including a biography of friend and “Star Trek” co-star Leonard Nimoy, to his unlikely friendship with punk legend Henry Rollins.
