People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care, so if you really focus on that, first, then people will listen to your message

Marketing is about bringing extreme value.

You need to jump at opportunities, say "Yes" more to stuff, even if you're not comfortable at the time.

If you're in business, or you're trying to build a community, and it's not something you're passionate about, you're going to fail.

If you're committed to excellence, you're committed to doing this consistently regardless of the evidence that you got results there.

All that matters is that we're focused on trying to share and give value to help people improve their lives, and make it better.

Nature can replicate how you need to build your business. Think about growth. If you're focused on growth, how do you grow? You can't throw a seed and then expect it to give you results. You have to water it, you have to give it time, you have to be patient. The ultimate growth act is patience.

A lot of things that I do are because I'm trying to test and trying new things too.

I feel my calling is to help entrepreneurs be in control of their marketing span, to skill themselves and be an advocate for the business owners, so they know how to build their businesses.

An Arabic quote that I love, says, "Dig a well before you're thirsty." So, my saying is, build an audience before you need it.

If you really think about not just communities as being a community, think of it as also being individual channels, and people react and interact in these different channels in very different ways.

Think of every social channel as a different soil type, and each soil type is in different areas, where rain falls differently, and things grow differently.

Give yourself a break from trying to put too much pressure on yourself. That's probably one of the biggest things that I would see what prevents people from doing a live video course, is they're too hard on themselves because they don't believe that they have a voice.

Don't play small. Think of it like this, what would you do, if you were 10X the size of the company you are right now? Think big and be honest to yourself.

My big superpower is meditation. I'm trying to put myself in the mindset of going, "How can I ask the Universe to give me the most creative, most sharp-minded, interesting ideas, either for creative design, or creative thinking, or for marketing.

Have a routine that puts you in a state of mind, whether it's a music song you play or something you want to read to remind yourself, do something. Those are the things that make you feel have that sort of confidence going right into it.

As long as I'm congruent with my values, I feel fulfillment.

On this episode of Mindset Mashup, we are talking with Scott Martin about the importance of building a community, the importance of having patience, the importance of thinking long term and really nurturing the seeds that you plant and fostering a personalized one-on-one relationship, where you think bigger.
