The Duke of Cambridge has led centenary commemorations for the Battle of Passchendaele.

It was marked with the traditional Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres - one hundred years since one of the bloodiest battles of the First World War.

It was followed by a memorial concert in the market square which included a poem read by Dame Helen Mirren, a performance by Alfie Boe and projections on the Cloth Hall.
