RATING
Tales of innocence lost and adventure found, told lyrically and produced meticulously. Farrir is a world I'd portal-fantasy to in a second if I could. Kai's strong worldbuilding gives the players freedom to improvise and develop compelling characters. Every episode is worth the wait.
What are you looking for in a D&D actual play podcast? Are you looking for a well produced show? Are you looking for a unique world, built with care and attention with plenty of lore for you to dip into? Are you looking for characters who work well together and care about their progress, and are you looking for a DM who knows their stuff? If the answer is yes to all or some of these then Wizard on the Wynd is something you need to get into. Kai has created a world rich in story, myth and lore, where his players explore and mould the world around them. He works tirelessly to produce this podcast and it shows. The group are also very active in Twitter and it's great to interact with them.
What a great podcast! The world-building is just as good as the actual play. Very well put together, you can tell how much love and work has gone into it.
This is a wonderful podcast. A combination of DnD 5th Ed. actual play with stories, histories, world building character creation in a rich and detailed world and setting. Kai and the others who are on the podcast are genuinely lovely people happy to engage and chat with their listeners. I cannot praise this podcast enough. Everyone should listen to it.
WotW is one of the best Dungeons and Dragons actual play podcasts available right now. Its mix of 5e rules and homebrewed mythology and folklore is literally like nothing else out there. The audio quality is top notch, the world is carefully crafted, and the DM and players are fun and engaging. There are a lot of strong, improv D&D podcasts out there, but very few that are engaged in telling a compelling, consistent story. Wizard on the Wynd is one of the best, and deserves your attention.
Edit from my first review, didn't mean to say belittled I meant I was humbled by how awesome the creativeness of the producer was, mistyped:-)
What a great podcast! I'm only a few episodes in, but I'm blown away by the quality and the unique world they're playing in. Can't wait to catch up!
I love this podcast. Epic world building, novel setting, and great roleplaying. Highly recommended. Good time to start with Hollow Ways storyline about to conclude, and new arc due to commence
Excellent RPG based podcast with heavy focus on story and world building. Very well, but not overly produced. Highly recommended
The lovely storytelling voice of Kai take you on a winding twisting journey of growth and adventure
Kai is a very talented DM. I sit on pins and needles just waiting for the next episode. This world will suck you in and never let you go.
A well presented and engaging story that uses the D&D rules as a mechanic to help tell the story.
Top notch production, original story and interactive world building. One of the best actual plays out there.
An excellent DnD 5E Actual Play Podcast with very high production quality. It's like listening to a classic fairy tale, with incredible world building.
