John Powers reviews Zadie Smith's new collection of essays, 'Intimations,' written during the pandemic and completed after George Floyd's murder.
Excellent interview, Gross is a pro at carefully but directly handling difficult topics. I don't normally listen to the episodes that are tied to shows I can't watch, but I am interested in the guest so I gave it a go anyway, and came away feeling that you don't need to watch the show in order to enjoy the interview.
