The much hyped development of AI platforms like ChatGPT have created much excitement around the world as people scramble to test and find uses for it. Microsoft and Google, among others, are throwing billions into its development because the potential profits are so high. This alone should ring alarm bells as the necessary checks and balances are thrown out the window.
