Sherlock Holmes is one of these most often portrayed fictional characters, so of course, the Little Theatre of Norfolk had to give it a shot. The script for this production of “The Musgrave Ritual” was acquired from the Generic Radio Workshop. It was part of a series from Nigel Bruce(Watson) and Basil Rathbone(Holmes). The original episode with Bruce and Rathbone aired in December 1939.
This episode was recorded with vintage studio techniques, including live foley, in the style of radio dramas from the 1930s, before the advent of television. People used to gather around the radio and listen to "Jack Benny", "The Shadow", "Judy Canova", and "Escape!" Now you can relive the Golden Days of Radio, and enjoy a cracking good story to boot! Listen with the lights off and headphones on, if you dare!
