Micro fiction isn't for everyone, but the ability to tell a deep and interesting story in limited chunks is an admirable talent.Across episodes often no longer than five minutes in length, we are introduced to the suspects, witnesses, investigators, friends, family and connected bystanders in the apparently-linked mission person's case and accidental death. The pacing is the real success here - the series never drags out the developments needlessly nor rushed through the story without allowing time to ponder. By the time the tale approaches a conclusion, I felt satisified that I had been given all the desired insight into the cast of personalities - their motovations, their flaws, their unspoken truths - and the series wraps up nicely. If you like media with self-imposed restrictions and rules and are looking to doke out deserved respect for a crew achieving so much with so little, Golden Ash is worthy of a download.
