Very fun actual play with a very fun cast and GM with a good handle on storytelling. Check it out!
Excellent roleplay and an engaging story so far. Can't wait for more!
Green Mountain MysteriesThanks so much, CriticalDitto! You show is absolutely lovely as well!
This podcast opens on such a strong note with very interesting thematic and world-building elements right from the get-go. The cast have great chemistry and the GM is hilarious. If you like podcasts that remind you of the Adventure Zone you will love this too. Or if you like antagonizing cops and dissing Harry Potter.
Green Mountain MysteriesThank you so much for this kind review, and for your flattering comparison to one of our biggest inspirations!
Green Mountain Mysteries is one of my favorite Urban Fantasy podcasts. Not only do they play the game well and seem to have a lot of fun. Additionally, the music is all composed by the GM and super amazing. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Green Mountain MysteriesThanks so much, Landon! For those who don't know, Landon is the GM of Shadows Of St. Fleur, and we highly recommend them!
Even if you're not an avid Dresden reader, this is a great show for anyone who likes Monster of the Week-style games. But, if you are into the series, it carries a lot of the same tone of the books throughout, and uses a system that I wasn't super familiar with beforehand. It also features a fun cast, playing characters that feel like people you might see in your hometown (without realizing that they also hunt monsters).
Green Mountain MysteriesThanks so much Grahame! This means the world to hear!
Green Mountain Mysteries is a wonderful show that accurately captures the supernatural aspects of a world hiding right in front of our eyes. As a neophyte to Dresden and the Fate system, I was nervous about listening in and getting lost in references I wouldn't know. My fears were quelled almost instantly. Michael as the overseer of the story does a fantastic job in making sure the listeners understand rules as they come up, explaining them simply and effectively. The cast/party themselves are absolutely amazing. The characters of Albion, Ro, Desdemona and Sylvester all have their moments to shine and are played with utter aplomb. You can tell the players are well versed in each other's mannerisms and styles. There are few pauses or gaps, and the interaction between them hits a fine balance of knowing when a moment of levity is needed and when it is time to buckle down and advance the story. The story itself is engrossing from the first episode, and as the world opens up bit by bit, the scope of the story expands exponentially. I would highly recommend Green Mountain Mysteries to anyone wanting a supernatural podcast. Every bit of the show is high quality, and I think you'll have a great time listening!
Green Mountain MysteriesThanks so much! Your kind words mean the world to hear! Discount Dungeons is a podcast we'd recommend as well!
