I don't even know how I found this podcast, but I happened to come across the vitamin episode and hit play. I definitely wasn't a podcast person, so I didn't go into the episode with much expectancy. Within 15 minutes, I was completely hooked. I have a background in research and have never experienced a podcast series that so beautifully encompasses scientific explanation and facts, compassion, and humor all in one. I feel like if I ever met Tristin, Juanique, or Gina in real life, we'd be friends immediately. They speak so truthfully and pour their hearts into each episode, and I've become addicted to the wealth of information they provide. I also had something magical happen after listening to this podcast: I started helping myself. It wasn't out of fear, but instead knowledge that gave me the strength to make decisions I could stand behind. Again, I'm a super nerd. And on top of that, I'm a systems engineer. Explain to me how the Krebs cycle affects your health in a full systematic review and you're speaking my love language. I was so addicted that I sent this podcast to my mom (who was fairly of the mindset that she's "going to die early and there's no hope." Her words, not mine.). Since starting the podcast, she's gone paleo, started buying organic where she can, and has transformed her mindset. She's in love with the information too, and appreciates the excellent breakdown of information, as English isn't her first language and her schooling wasn't at the college level. This podcast has changed my life in so little time in such major ways, and I never truly think I'll be able to stop listening. Anyways, you should try it. Really.
