As technology; a lock that can only accessed by its recipient will deter thieves from stealing/snatching parcels/packages left outdoors. However, I don’t think it’s a bullet proof measure as it will show a divide between the sophisticated organized gangs/groups who have access to high-tech programs that can hack into these advanced locks and the lone wolf thieves who barely can make ends meet who have no access to such high-tech hacking tools.
