Big Ten football and Iowa football are back and we are here to celebrate it! Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo discuss what changed to bring back Iowa football, how it will work this fall, if any Iowa players might opt out this year, and more. We also have a date for the return of college hoops and what that means for Hawkeye basketball, plus some recruiting news, including the dead period being extended until January.
After a couple of weeks off, the podcast returns! Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo discuss the sudden end to the Big Ten Football season and why the conference made the decision. We look at the battle from parents and players to have the season happen and the ugly economic outcome for Iowa athletics, including the loss of four sports. We look at the potential January football season in the Big Ten, what might happen with hoops, and we talk a little recruiting news.
The podcast returns to celebrate the return of Luka Garza for his senior season. Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo are joined by former Hawkeye Nicholas Baer to discuss Garza’s return and what it means for the Iowa basketball team and their chances of a special season. We also discuss the finding of the Husch Blackwell investigation and what it means for Iowa football, Kirk Ferentz, and Brian Ferentz, and much more.
