A fantastic example of the length and breadth of experiences you can have playing a tabletop roleplaying game with one other person. The hosts explore all kinds of places: humor, drama, tragedy. All with passion and fun. They work very hard to get across the most authentic table experience they can. That way you have a good idea if these systems would work well for you. If you're interested in playing a game with a close friend or a partner, I highly recommend giving this show a listen!
Heart Points is your new favorite actual play podcast you haven't listened to yet. Featuring hosts Diana and Zack, a husband and wife gaming duo, Heart Points takes you on both campaign adventures and one-shots with different rpgs to explore. Learn about a new rpg system, or simply enjoy the incredible banter of these two. They have an amazing dynamic, and the show is a great mix of humor and heart. Start listening and thank me later!
Heart PointsThank you so much!
A breezy RPG actual play podcast with great hosts. I'm a huge proponent of RPG as a shared pastime for couples, and this is a great example of duet play. Particularly relevant in these social-distancing times. Fun and full of humor, but with the occasional bit of seriousness and pathos. Individual episodes are refreshingly bite-sized, so it's easy to catch up or stay up to date.
Heart PointsThank you for the kind words, it means a lot!
I may be biased, but I think Heart Points is a very good actual play podcast. It's a fun RPG podcast featuring lots of different systems and stories. The GM can be a little stubborn sometimes but the player, Diana, is always finding creative solutions to problems and enhancing the story with her character beats and concepts. The duet format is kind of niche but the hosts are loveable and their chemistry is real.
