This episode, I sit down with Ryan Easterbrooks.
I first met Ryan when he contacted me about open mic, and I invited him to my show. He performed his first open mic 5 years ago, and he has been coming up through the ranks ever since. Ryan is currently competing in the Charleston Comedy Festival Stand-Up Competition, and he has made it to the semifinals.
Ryan and I talk about open mic experiences, how he knew he wanted to be a comedian, comedy contests, teaching comedy, finding comedy in tragedy, performing at colleges, improving your set, playing for yourself versus playing for the audience, final tips, and the importance of great social media.
