It's episode four of Hey, You Made It! Only two more episodes until you ask me to meet your parents! This week's guests are Pumps Comedy, an all-female improv team based out of the iO West Theater in Los Angeles, CA. For the past year and a half, they've hosted "It's A Match," a cagematch featuring two indie improv teams fighting for improv glory (aka beer and the chance to come back another week to perform). "It's A Match" is coming to an end, but we talk about the process behind the show, how the group formed and what's next for Pumps Comedy. Their last show at iO West is THIS MONDAY August 28th at 11pm. And it's FREE! They might even make you do shots of tequila with them after the show at the theater bar! (Just kidding, they definitely will make you do shots of tequila with them after the show at the theater bar).
You can find more info about the show and Pumps Comedy on their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pumpscomedy
Thanks so much for listening! Next week we've got Phil Pirrone (creator/curator of the Desert Daze Music Festival in Joshua Tree, CA). And if you're in the LA comedy scene and have a show, project or thing you want to talk about, email me at [email protected].
Enjoy!
