She talks about how real and down to the earth the singer/actress is and that working alongside Sabrina made the whole experience a lot easier for her. Ava is truly a star on the inside and out. Ava Michelle, also known as Ava Michelle Cota, is a dancer, actress, and model from Fenton, Michigan. She was a dance student at JC’s Broadway Dance Academy which was owned by her mother. She is trained in contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap dance. Cota had a recurring role in seasons 4-6 the Lifetime reality series Dance Moms (2014-2017). She also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Next Generation. On the show, she opens up about being bullied due to her height. Since, Cota had landed roles in different short films which lead to her breakout role in the 2019 Netflix family comedy Tall Girl. The film centers around a high school student who learns to love herself over the thing she is most insecure about.
